Carols in the City
Mainstreet Cleveland lights the community Christmas tree and welcomes Santa Claus. After the community tree lighting, the crowd walks together to each of the historic churches for a brief musical presentation on the steps of each church. 6 p.m. in front of the Courthouse Annex, Broad Street. First Friday in December.

Christmas in Old Appalachia
Christmas in Old Appalachia is the first Sunday in December at the Museum of Appalachia with the annual Open House welcoming folks for an afternoon of old-time carols, wagon rides, pioneer demonstrations, gift shopping, and more. Admission to the entire Museum is free that afternoon (but please bring a non-perishable food item for the Norris Area Food Bank). Activities run from 1 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3rd, with seasonal music in the Hall of Fame and auditorium. Old-time musicians, bluegrass bands, the Museum of Appalachia Band, and many other great local groups perform throughout the complex. Also performing are several area choirs and a community chorus.


Christmas on the Cumberland
Christmas on the Cumberland is a walk-through holiday light display featuring over 2 million lights that transform the Cumberland Riverwalk into a whimsical holiday wonderland. The event is open nightly beginning the day after Thanksgiving through the month of December. Admission is free. Held at McGregor Park Riverwalk in Clarksville.


Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas

Fayetteville... Host of Christmas Past
Downtown Fayetteville. During the second weekend in November, Fayetteville becomes the setting for a Norman Rockwell Painting. This festival brings thousands of visitors to enjoy an old fashioned high tea, trolley rides, strolling musicians, a candlelight walking tour, and much, much more.
